Hi there! And welcome to Episode 6 of Couragemakers! I’m so happy to share today’s episode with Torie Jochims.
Torie describes herself as the over-caffeinated wordsmith at the helm of Wild Spark Creative. She's also a hiker, a mountain climber, a runner, a makeup enthusiast and a lover of craft beer and good desserts. Ultimately, she is a believer in people. At heart, she’s a storyteller and I loved hearing how growing up with her grandparents influenced her ability to tell good stories and how this helped her develop as a person and confront her fears.
In this episode we really dive into the power of storytelling, dealing with perfectionism and how important it is to work on your relationship with yourself. Torie shares really openly her journey from working in the service industry, advertising and co-creating a video production company to starting her own venture Wild Spark Creative.
This is a great episode if you struggle with dealing with your inner critic, want to learn more about how to use storytelling and writing as a tool to deal with life and how to bounce back. Torie has great advice for anyone struggling with perfectionism or dealing with a toxic work situations and I know you’re going to love her. Torie her she has such a beautiful message for the world and I find her attitude so refreshing and I’m so excited to share our conversation!
Enjoy the show!

About Meg Kissack & That Hummingbird Life
I'm Meg and I'm the host of Couragemakers and founder of That Hummingbird Life. I started this podcast because I wanted to create a platform for passionate and unconventional women to have honest conversations and to share their stories, struggles and dreams. The intention behind this podcast is to inspire and encourage creative and mission-driven women to live a wholehearted life and follow the beat of their drum.
When I'm not recording episodes and making new friends with the wonderful guests, you can find me working on all manners of magic over at That Hummingbird Life, sending free self care checks ins to hundreds of women every Sunday and helping my clients build brands they love as a graphic designer. I'm currently based in London, and getting ready for my round the world adventure with Mr. Meg starting August 2016. Don't worry the podcast isn't going anywhere!
