The Couragemakers Podcast | Encouragement, Inspiration & Rebel Rousing for Mission Driven Doers, Makers & Shakers |

Couragemakers is the weekly podcast for creative and multi-passionate women. Because building the life you want and putting stuff in the world takes a boatload of courage, but you don’t have to do it alone. Couragemakers is designed to encourage and rebel-rouse mission-driven doers, makers and world-shakers to spark a movement of women who are choosing themselves. Meg chats to unconventional couragemakers all over the world who share their stories, their advice and their dreams as we have honest conversations about everyday courage, living a wholehearted life and dream chasing. We’ve figured out what we don’t want in life, now we’re figuring out what we do want. And we talk about the things that make us feel on fire as well as the monsters that hide under our beds. Couragemakers is brought to you by Meg Kissack of The Rebel Rousers. Because everything changes when you believe you matter. Let’s shake things up together. Warning: This podcast contains courage, vulnerability and a desire to leave the world a brighter place than how we found it.

Hi there and welcome to episode 22 of Couragemakers!

This week I'm chatting to the lovely Cat Rose. I met Cat over Twitter and got the chance to catch up with her over a coffee in London a couple of months ago and I'm so excited to share this episode.

Cat  is on a mission to help other creatives get over their fears of self-promotion and get their work seen and shared. She is a coach and founded the League of Creative Introverts: a safe community for creatives to share their work openly, learn from others and get all the support they need on their creative journey.

During our conversation, Cat shares her journey from working as a graphic designer, going to Japan and starting the League of Creative Introverts, how she deals with rejection as a creative and how we as creatives can learn to talk about our work.

We really dive into the link between being a creative and being an introvert, the turmoil introverts face and Cat shares some great advice about how to set goals as a multi-passionate person.

This episode is great if you're a creative and a multi-passionate person and you struggle to tell the difference between resistance and fear, if you struggle to prioritise lots of projects you want to do and if you want practical advice on how to get your art out there and start talking about you work.

As a related aside, Cat is going to be holding a really fun one month long summer bootcamp for creative introverts starting in August, called Get Your Art Out! Each week will explore a different theme to help creatives to get their art out. I'm really happy to be featured as an expert camp counsellor during one of the modules, talking all about comparisonitis and how you can overcome your self doubt and put your work out in the world. If you're interested in the summer bootcamp, you can find the details over at thecreativeintrovert.com and Cat has been lovely enough to give Couragemaker listeners a 25% discount with the code MEG25.

This is a really great episode and if you're anything like me, you'll be making notes during this one!

Enjoy the show!

About Meg & That Hummingbird Life

I'm Meg and I'm the host of Couragemakers and founder of That Hummingbird Life. I started this podcast because I wanted to create a platform for passionate and unconventional women to have honest conversations and to share their stories, struggles and dreams. The intention behind this podcast is to inspire and encourage creative and mission-driven women to live a wholehearted life and follow the beat of their drum.

When I'm not recording episodes and making new friends with the wonderful guests, you can find me working on all manners of magic over at That Hummingbird Life, sending free self care checks ins to hundreds of women every Sunday and helping my clients build brands they love as a graphic designer. I'm currently based in London, and getting ready for my round the world adventure with Mr. Meg starting August 2016. Don't worry the podcast isn't going anywhere!
